Experience Social Growth
About
Experience Social Growth is about bringing together an idea and a belief of developing a truly inclusive and authentic approach to turning houses into homes for NDIS participants. The idea builds upon the pillars of Participant Experience, Participant Social Engagement and Participant Growth to create a housing solution like none other before.
Experience Social Growth has three companies, with the first two, ESG Mindset Consulting and ESG Inclusive Homes (SDA) being there to support the industries we work in and the people we support. The third company, The Purple Tiger Foundation is about reinvesting back into our community through the profits we make after operational expenditures have been paid.
ESG aims to makes a difference to the local community through engaging people to advocate for change and ensure the client voice is heard in every aspect of our work.
The focus is about re-establishing creativity, imagination and the magic that surrounds transforming a house into a home. ESG aims to deliver an experience that will inspire and motivate others to take part in our journey to turn homes into one's castle.
ESG is an advocate for the safeguarding of the human rights of participants, building for their future and implementing key learnings from years of industry experience. As an organisation ESG are committed to staying true to a family values approach which coincided with bringing to life a concept around being immersed in Australian native flora and respecting the land we are building on.
Central to this idea was about walking alongside participants in their journey, encouraging and empowering them to make decisions about the design, development, construction and eventual completion of their home.
Building an Experience Foundation
The Experience Social Growth idea and concept was developed in 2018 by Patrick Wilsmore, Sarah Thompson & their business partners, but it wasn't until later in 2024 that they thought they could bring this Customer Experience Business Framework to life. They decided to combine their passion, energy, enthusiasm and business acumen into a new client focused group of companies. It took a number of years to plan, develop and find the right business model and solution that this organisation could be founded upon, ultimately the realisation was that it was the customer.
With a combined Social & Human Services industry knowledge of over 70yrs they embarked on a journey to bring something new, innovative and market leading to people with a disability, children, young people and Australia's most vulnerable. What set them apart from other organisations was their extensive experience in NDIS participant direct service delivery, property development and experience in external customer facing industries outside of Human Services.
Client voice, choice, control and experience was at the heart of starting this organisation. They found that the current Human Services supported accommodation market failed to involve, recognize or take participants on a journey to their new home, and they weren't empowered or being consulted in the development. Largely the market perception or property development industry interest was simply about bricks, mortar, return on investment and not about the participant, their interests or home and living ideas. Their seemed to be a genuine lack of authenticity, transparency and dedication to improving the life of participants unless it fitted in a kit home design style model.
Patrick, Sarah and their business partners wanted to come up with a Customer Experience model that was market leading, would place participants and their families back at the heart of the development of their home and more importantly their life.
So, they founded Experience Social Growth, and the Journey begins!
